Alli admitted he was leaving Everton earlier this month for "exciting opportunities" elsewhere. The 28-year-old began individual training with Serie A side Como earlier this week and now manager Fabregas has heaped praise on the attacking midfielder – who was once one of the brightest young talents in the game.

He said, via Fabrizio Romano: “He’s training with us now, Dele’s feeling good. He’s a wonderful player. If we can help him, we’re more than happy. At the moment, he’s only training with us."

Dele has had a difficult few years, with spells at Everton and Besiktas doing nothing to breathe life into his struggling career. The former England international will hope he return to his best and has even targeted a spot in the Three Lions 2026 World Cup squad.
