Fans are daring to “Believe” once more as talk of the award-winning Apple TV+ production returning to screens around the world continues to build. Said discussion was started when Warner Bros picked up options on three prominent members of the cast – including Waddingham.

She fills the role of AFC Richmond owner, with her exploits in and out of the boardroom winning a legion of loyal supporters. Waddingham is one of several stars to have expressed their excitement at stepping back into the world of Ted Lasso.

Waddingham continues to hold out hope, telling the podcast when quizzed again on stepping back into the high heels of a fan favourite: “I don't know. All I do know is that Welton has gone nowhere out of my heart. I think there's a possibility. Who knows? All I know is that writers' room were a writers' room of champions, magnificent writers, and it spoils you for all other work.”
